Calvin’s second wife was 26 years younger than he was and was a widow with three children.294
He gave his personal property, land and Woodman of the World insurance policy to his children Cora (Hand) Tracy, Melverda Hand, and Silas Hand. To daughters Lottie and Flora he gave $1.00 to each of them and no part of his land.296
Calvin and Delia spent three years traveling from Alabama to Arkansas, sharecropping when they could. They stopped at Madison Co., Tennessee during the trip as Calvin’s sister, who was traveling with them, was married there in 1893.
